What is Spanish Immersion through the Arts?
Spanish is taught naturally through creative activities based in the arts; Theater, Music, Painting, Dance, and more.

Full Spanish Immersion Day Program
Mommy/Daddy & Me Spanish
Kids Spanish
Each program is taught in a relaxed, supportive, and individualized setting. Students are not pressured, but rather encouraged to speak Spanish through fun activities designed for each age group.

Benefits
Participating in a Spanish Immersion program provides many benefits. Students will emerge from the program with proficiency in two languages. Having the capacity to speak in two languages gives most individuals an advantage in the workplace. Through immersion, students develop a deeper understanding of the language and are often able to produce native-like speech.
Learning through the arts encourages self-expression, creativity and can build confidence as well as a sense of self. We use the Arts as a teaching gateway in our Spanish Immersion program to enhance the educational process. Research has shown that participating in artistic activities nourishes our integrated sensory, attentional, cognitive, emotional, and motor capacities which are all driving forces behind all other learning.
As our students learn a new language through immersion, they are also developing their creative skills. Skills that have endless benefits in our personal and professional development.

Julissa
Founder and Lead Teacher
Julissa is a vibrant artist, educator, and devoted mother who loves to create and make everyone smile. With a music degree from Rhode Island College, she understands the power of creative expression.
As the Founder of The Spanish Playhouse LLC, Julissa fosters exploration and growth through vibrant teaching methods. Her innovative approach sparks genuine enthusiasm in young learners, making each Spanish lesson an exciting adventure.
Jorge
Co-Founder and Director of Operations
Jorge's dynamic personality and deep passion for music greatly enhance our playhouse. As the Director of Operations and Lead Music Teacher, he ensures smooth operations while enriching our artistic pursuits. Jorge infuses each lesson with energy, drawing from his love for martial arts and skills in playing the trumpet and flamenco guitar, adding a unique flair to his teaching. His approachable demeanor and steadfast dedication make him a pivotal figure and a beloved leader in our community.
Miledy
Teacher Assistant
Miledy combines her infectious enthusiasm and 20+ years of experience in Spanish immersion daycare to create a nurturing, language-rich environment for children. A professional seamstress in her spare time, Miledy's creative flair and passion for cooking also bring warmth and cultural richness to our community. Her compassionate and playful approach makes learning a joy, fostering linguistic skills and a welcoming atmosphere that kids adore.
